2. Summary of how the app handles data
Stop Timer does not collect anything about you. The app has no network connection of any kind: it cannot send information anywhere, because there is nothing in it that talks to a server. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any sort.
3. Data processed by the app
The app creates and reads the following, all of it on your device only.

None of this identifies you. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number or any other personal detail.
4. Local storage
Your data is stored in three places inside the app’s own container on your device:
- A local database holds attempts, mission progress, daily runs and arcade runs.
- The app’s preferences hold settings and any themes you have made.
- A folder inside the app holds pictures you have chosen for the button.
If you choose a picture, the app receives a copy of that one image through Apple’s photo picker, which runs outside the app. The app is never granted access to your photo library, and cannot see anything except the image you picked. That copy is written into the app’s own folder and never leaves your device.
If you have iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup switched on, your device backs the app’s container up along with everything else on the phone. That backup is between you and Apple; Stølen Development AS has no access to it.
5. Notifications
The app does not send notifications and does not ask for permission to send any.
6. Advertising
The app contains no advertising and no advertising SDK. It does not use the advertising identifier and never asks for permission to track you.
7. Analytics and crash reporting
The app contains no analytics and no crash reporting. Stølen Development AS receives no usage figures, no session counts and no crash reports from it.
If you send crash information yourself through Apple’s own settings, that goes to Apple and may be shown to us in aggregate through App Store Connect. It is not tied to you and we cannot ask for it.
8. Data sharing with third parties
Nothing is shared, because nothing is collected. The app contains no third-party code at all.
9. Purpose of processing
The only purpose is to make the app work: to show you your own results, keep your progress, and remember how you like it set up.
10. How data is secured
Everything stays inside the app’s own container, which iOS keeps separate from other apps and protects with the device’s own encryption while the device is locked. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit to protect.
11. How long data is kept
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep the app installed, or until you delete it yourself.
12. How to delete local data
- Some of it: swipe a row away in the Log, or use “Clear log” in the menu there to remove the attempts you are looking at.
- All of it: delete the app from your device. That removes the database, the settings, your themes and any pictures you added, with nothing left behind.
13. Support requests
If you email us for help, we will have whatever you choose to write to us, including your email address, so that we can reply. We use it for that and nothing else, and we do not add it to any mailing list.
14. Accounts and login
There are no accounts. You cannot sign in, and there is nothing to sign in to.
15. Children and young people
The app is suitable for all ages. It requires no account, collects nothing, and contains no advertising, no purchases and no links out to other services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. If you are a parent or guardian with a question, write to Help@stolendevelopment.no.
16. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal information about you.
For this app those rights have little to act on: we hold nothing about you, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct or erase. The data the app creates is on your device, under your control, and you can remove all of it at any time as described in section 12. If you have written to our support address, you can ask us to delete that correspondence.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be described in the app’s release notes.
